UX/UI design for an urban discovery platform based off of the beta version of Nativer (see below). Improved our previous Nativer branding within an app focusing on user engagement, return users, ease of use, and functionality. Features include friends feed, make a recommendation, onboarding setup, and walk-through screens. My work included wireframing and analyzing the user process, prototyping, design and implementation, export for programming, and optimization.
This appears the first time the app is opened, explains about usage and features.
Scena allows users to build their personalized taste profile based on what types of food/drink they like, and matches them with similar tastes! We tried to gamify this process and make it as fun and interactive as possible.
When you are in a bar or restaurant that has not been identified in the Scena system, the user can add a new spot by taking a picture and adding information about the place.
Exploration is key to Scena. Users can look for a place to go out by scrolling through a feed of people with similar taste profiles. By swiping right or left to like or dislike places, the user updates his profile and sees more personalized recommendations.
MY SAVED PLACES
When a user swipes to like a place, it is saved in a page of ‘saved places’ accessible from the menu. Here, the user can see all of the places they are interested in and will be able to access their personally curated list next time they are looking for a place to go.
Nativer – Pilot
UI, iconography design, and GIF animation for a pilot version of the Nativer system, helping enthusiastic travelers share information about their city and explore new places. This was a web-based pilot app, that was then transformed into the Scena app.
